Driving to Wanganui

Drove to Wanganui on Saturday. Normally not a place I would visit (especially with the possibility of Mayor Michael Laws there) but had a 21st to attend up there.

The drive up was made far more pleasant by Emma and Julie, two hitchhikers from Sweden whom I gave a lift to, and are down under for eight months. Be nice to them if you meet them.

Also on the way saw this reminder of the floods. As I was taking a photo of it, another car pulled over to do the same. Just too good a photo to miss.
