Bad Mossad

The moment I heard on the radio references to Israelis and false passports I thought they were probably Mossad and the NZ Herald this morning has a nice exclusive saying the same.

While I have some sympathy for the difficulties Mossad has (an Israeli passport will get even civilians refused entry to many places) it is unacceptable to forge passports from other countries. Israel does need to be told this. The publicity from the trial will be very unwelcome.

Perhaps the Mossad agents should have claimed they were refugees like Mr Zaoui and then they would get lots of legal aid and lobby groups fighting to get them off!
